An igloo on the water, where amenities are provided and nature surrounds you. Next to it lies a small island with opportunities for cooking and relaxation. It is a new concept in Lungsund that stands out in Värmland.
– We don’t fully see ourselves as glamping, but as something else, because AuroraHut is like a luxury room, just in nature.
That’s what Joacim Öhman, co-owner of Hedetangen together with his partner Madeleine Friberg, says.
The nature of Värmland
About a month ago, they had their first guests.
The accommodation is designed for two people and gives guests the chance to spend time with nature as their companion.
– You get a bit blind to your own home, so you miss out on the gems. We have so much beautiful nature here in Sweden, especially in Värmland, says Joacim Öhman.
He elaborates:
– If you can enjoy the moment, not have a lot of obligations, and just find peace, it’s easier to open your senses to new impressions.
A mix between a hotel room and a houseboat
The experience that guests get with AuroraHut can be compared to a hotel room, says Joacim Öhman.
– Our guests are anyone who wants to get close to nature without camping in a tent. It’s a small, luxurious houseboat, you could say. The goal is to tailor the experience as much as possible and to attract tourists to Värmland.
The couple is satisfied with the response since the opening. They look forward to developing the business and reaching even more people.
