Our AuroraHut is a floating igloo boat – the only one in Scandinavia placed in the water by a small Island in the Värmland countryside – where you can enjoy magical views of the water and night sky. Whether it’s a calm summer night or a frosty winter morning, AuroraHut offers an unforgettable stay with 360° panoramic views year-round.

Smart conveniences
A towel warmer keeps your outerwear dry, and there is storage space for luggage under the bed.

Adjustable comfort
You can adjust both the heating and the lighting to your preference, and close the curtains for extra privacy whenever you want it.

Door code
A code will be provided upon arrival or sent to you by email before your stay.
How the door code works:
Tap the screen to “wake it up,” enter the 4-digit code you receive from Hedetangen, then press (*) in the bottom left corner.
The door locks automatically when closed.

Bed linens
The bed is freshly made with clean sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases upon your arrival.

Ice fishing
There is an ice-fishing hole in the floor, allowing you to fish indoors—warm and comfortable even during winter cold. You can also use the hole to observe underwater life.
To turn the ice-fishing light on or off, use the light control console.
Note: Fishing permit must be purchased separately.

Lighting
Light controls are located to the right of the entrance and at the head of the bed. Instructions are posted next to the buttons.
The toilet lighting is controlled via the console next to the entrance.

Electrical outlets
At the foot of the bed you’ll find five USB ports (one on the radio).
A 12V / 10A socket is located on the left side of the kitchen unit.
220V outlets are located in the bed frame on the window side and in the bed headboard.
These can be used when the AuroraHut is connected to the power grid.

Temperature control
The indoor temperature of the AuroraHut can be adjusted using the panel buttons.
Ventilation adjusts automatically depending on your temperature setting.

Stereo
Turn on/off with the power button.
Adjust volume using +/-.
The radio searches for channels automatically; to switch channels, press the arrow buttons.
To enable Bluetooth, press the left button and wait for the radio to say “discoverable,” then search for devices.
Look for “Panelstereo” on your device to connect.

Gas stove
A gas stove with two burners is available for guest use.
Note: Only for cooking foods that can be boiled.
Each burner is controlled by separate gas valves and piezo igniters.
They are located under a glass cover, which is opened during use.

Toilet
The AuroraHut has a urine-separating toilet that is cleaned before every stay.
Always sit down when using it.
Liquids and solid waste are diverted into different tanks.
Wet wipes, hand towels, and soap are available.

Food storage
A cool storage compartment for food is located under a floor hatch at the foot of the bed.

Luggage storage
There is storage space for luggage under the bed. The bed can be lifted to access it.

What is included in a standard stay with us?

Transport:

• Private parking
• Boat rental with electric motor to/from the Island + life jackets. The boat can also be used for fishing trips (Note! Fishing license purchased separately)
