We are Joacim and Madeleine, founders of Hedetangen – a small family-run business where simplicity meets luxury. Here, surrounded by Värmland’s forests and shimmering lakes, we offer nature-close luxury glamping with care for both guests and the environment.

Our vision is to give you a safe and comfortable stay in nature, with time for relaxation and recovery. With us, you’ll find different accommodation options so your experience becomes exactly what you want it to be.

AuroraHut – Your own Island. Your own oasis.

Stay in the heart of nature – simple, comfortable, and truly unique.
Welcome to AuroraHut – our floating igloo-boat with hotel-standard accommodation by a small island in Storfors. It is fully off-grid for up to two weeks and equipped with everything you need for complete relaxation and minimal impact on nature.

Wake up to panoramic views of the water. Explore the island and nearby forest trails, visit exciting local attractions, or take a dip from the dock. End your day with local food on the grill under a starry sky.

During the winter, the AuroraHut is moved next to the sauna by the shore, still with a beautiful lake view, with the possibility for both sauna and ice baths as well as barbecue opportunities.

For those seeking a different kind of stay, we also offer a peaceful family house beautifully located in a quiet forest clearing on the mainland.

Regardless of accommodation, we cherish the Swedish Allemansrätten and provide everything you need to enjoy your stay – with care for both the environment and the next guest.

: - No. Although we love animals, pets are not allowed due to allergy risk for future guests.
: - Depends on the season. Low season (from October 1st - April 30th) the price is 1,250 SEK per person and night. The Aurora Hut is then moved to the edge of the land. High season (from May 1st - September 30th) the price is 1,750 SEK per person and night. The Aurora Hut is then located out on the island.

Lite svårt att hitta på de vindlande grusvägarna i Värmland, men väl värt resan när vi väl såg igloon och visste att snart framme. En liten kort båttur ut till ön och sen tystnaden. Att få vara tillsammans i ostördhet. Senare på kvällen en sagolik solnedgång och ljuset den efterlämnade, så lugnt och njutningsfullt. Lämnade en känsla av förundran för vår vackra svenska natur. Inte en mygga denna kväll, så fantastisk mysigt! Tack för den här gången, vi kommer garanterat tillbaka!
